Christchurch Square, Tram ride and flying back to Tawa

Here we are in Christchurch for our second day. We went to the Square and saw some acrobats, then went for a tram ride (more pictures to follow) and then flu back to Tawa. We had an Easter Egg hunt with the girls this morning followed by a trip to Pumpkin Patch for Jackie and I. Now we are all packing to go our separate ways tomorrow afternoon. It has been a wonderful trip. Enjoy the pictures.

Christchurch here we come.

While in Dunedin, Delanie got a little flu bug and so we stayed home for a day for her to rest. It was our one day of rain so timing really is everything. It was peaceful and we all enjoyed a nice rest.

Here we are on our way to fly to Christchurch. We played in the park and had a wonderful day. That evening we went to a Haka show and saw some live wildlife. I was so excited because I have wanted to see a live Kiwi bird. They are very rare and endangered. They are nocturnal and so our adventure was at night. They are such cute birds and bigger that I thought. They grow to weigh 2-3kl which translated means roughly 6-7 lbs. That is a good sized chicken. They have very long beaks and use them like a walking stick to feel their way around. The following day we went to the park, ate at a cafe and had ice cream. All in all we had a wonderful visit. We hope you enjoy the rest of our pictures.

Trip to Dunedin

Here we are arriving in Dunedin. The weather was what we had hoped it would be-sunny and warm.

The house that we rented was right on the beach and it was beautiful.
